Brandy will not appear...in jail.

"After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, city prosecutors concluded there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty of such a charge beyond a reasonable doubt,"
- statement from the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office

The fatal collision occurred on Dec. 30, 2006, when the Grammy-winning star slammed her 2007 Land Rover into the back of a 2005 Toyota Corolla at 65 mph, setting off a four car pile-up.

Aboudihaj's car hit another car, and then crossed into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by the fourth vehicle. Aboudihaj, a married mother of two, died the next day.

Brandy was said to be distraught and was reported to have run out of her own car in a frenzy. She offered condolences.

The civil suits are still pending. One including a $50 million suit from the victims parents. Another suit was filed by the husband on behalf of the children who were in the car and suffered injuries.

The Grammy Award winning singer has been currently working on a new album and tv show. Her own child should be about 5 years old.

Hopefully everyone moves forward the best way possible. There is no true compensation for the deceased, but God Bless the dead.
